UNLADYLIKE2020 Launching on PBS American Masters this March

We’re very excited to announce that UNLADYLIKE2020 will be launching on PBS’s flagship biography series American Masters, an award-winning series that has produced powerful documentaries about figures who have made an indelible impact on the cultural landscape of the United States.

We’re honored to be a part of a series that has set the standard for biographical documentaries and has accrued widespread critical acclaim, and we’re thrilled that the series will be accessible to diverse audiences across the country, as both a digital and public television project.

UNLADYLIKE2020’s 26 short animated documentary films will be released digitally on both UNLADYLIKE2020’s interactive website (coming March 1!) and the American Masters’ website on PBS.org, every week beginning in March, in celebration of Women’s History Month, through August 26, 2020, the 100th anniversary of the day that the 19th Amendment was signed into law, assuring women’s right to vote. A broadcast hour featuring the series’ trailblazers in politics and civil rights will air on PBS stations across the country this summer. Lesson plans for middle and high school classrooms will be available on PBS LearningMedia, public television’s education platform which is used by over 1.6 million educators nationwide.

Check out American Masters’ announcement here to learn more about the series and our partnership. We’re very grateful for the support of PBS, PBS LearningMedia, WNET/Thirteen, and American Masters.

Stay tuned for more updates on the series launch on our website and social media!
