On September 29, 2020 UNLADYLIKE2020 Executive Producer Sandra Rattley will present the prestigious 2020 Freeman Lecture at the University of South Carolina Women’s and Gender Studies Program, including a screening of our shorts about Mary Church Terrell, Charlotta Spears Bass, and Gladys Bentley.
Given annually by a prominent African American woman, the Freeman Lecture in African American Women’s Studies was established in 1993 in memory of Adrenée Glover Freeman, an attorney from South Carolina who was active in civic affairs and served on the Community Advisory Board of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at the university.
